Central MS - Field of Fears - Presented by Triple Play Sports

All ages and divisions need to check your Sunday schedule for times and locations.

Games are still on as Scheduled. We will do everything we can to get all games in. 

Remember at Flowood & Pearl, we can't start on Sunday until 1:00 unless it's a special event...so we are at the mercy of the weather on Sunday. 

That being said...

• Make sure you understand how awards work when games are cancelled. 
• This is per division, 

Bracket Play

• If all teams do not complete 1 bracket game, awards go to the two highest seeds after pool play. 
• If all teams do do complete 1 bracket game, awards go to the two highest seeds remaining in the tournament. 
• In bracket play, If a game starts but can't finish, the winner is determined by the score of the game at the last completed inning.

Pool Play

• In the slight possibility that all pool games are not able to be completed for a division & Sunday is rained out, no awards will be given. 
• In the possibility that each team completed at least 1 pool game on Saturday but some were not able to complete 2 games...We will take the results from each team's 1st pool play game for seeding on Sunday if we are able to play. 
• An official game that can be determined as completed is if the game goes 3 and 1/2 innings complete with the home team winning or 4 innings complete with the home team losing after 3 & 1/2. 

In summary, make your pool play games count, especially the 1st one. 

The best way to stay informed on schedule updates or delays is by Facebook, the event page, and email. 

The only person that should contact us asking about weather delays once an event starts one of the coaches or administrators.

 Grand Slam MS Rules

Many of you have asked when & where to set up your tents. It's really simple & not formal. 

MAKE SURE YOUR TENT IS LABELED WITH YOUR TEAM NAME SOMEHOW

What you can do

Tents can be set up in any open area around the fields, not a long the fence, they will get seen and judged no matter where. 

It does not matter what time, we will be judging all tents between 10 am & 5 pm. 

As long as you leave your tent up for the two games you are playing, it will get seen. 

What not to do

Do not set up on any walkway. Any tent set up on a walkway will be moved. 

Do not set up and block any access to dugouts. 

Do not set up on the fences to the fields. This area is reserved for people to sit & watch their team play. 

MAKE SURE YOUR TENT IS LABELED WITH YOUR TEAM NAME SOMEHOW

We encourage you to go all out...take lots of pictures and give out lots of candy!

Please note, schedule request will only be accommodated if possible. We will try & work around youth football but this is the Fall State Tournament, our priority is to baseball.

Deadline to pay is Monday October 20th - Teams who have not paid will not be included on the schedule. Schedule will be released on Tuesday October 21st.

Reminder, it is Grand Slam MS policy that teams who drop out of an event after the schedule is released will still owe the entry fee & the team will not be scheduled in an event until that fee is pay. For special circumstances that may occur, please reach out to the Tournament Director .

Teams who decide not to play & withdraw before the schedule is released will receive a credit toward their next Grand Slam event.

We would like to encourage all teams to have a designated "Team Tent" Decorate it in your best Halloween Spirt! Have plenty of candy available to hand out as kids make their rounds to see!

Team Costume Contest! 

We would like to encourage all teams, including coaches, to wear their best costume for the games Saturday! We aren't worried about jersey numbers! Have some fun with it! (All players still must be on your roster & eligible)

Mask are allowed BUT, Players must wear a helmet batting, on the bases or catching.
