World Series Session 1 Cancelled due to weather
Sunday, June 25th 3:27 PM (CT).....We are now completely cancelled due to weather. Remember that awards are given based on seeding at the time the event is completely cancelled. We are just glad that we have gotten as much in as we had with all the rain this week.
WEATHER UPDATES & MORE WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21st, 2017 @ 3:06 PM (CT)
Wednesday, June 21st, 3:06 PM (CT).....We have now posted updated pool play schedules for all age divisions. We will post bracket play asap. The 8U Age Division will still be able to play full games in a Double Elimination Championship Bracket format. ALL other age divisions will finish up pool play and then play an abbreviated game time limit DOUBLE ELIMINATION CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET! ALL games will have a 1:10 minute time limit but it will NOT be a drop dead limit. This will allow us to play EVERY game originally scheduled and finish up on our rain day of Sunday night.
IF we get more rain on Thursday and have to push games back to a Friday start OR cannot start bracket play until Saturday, we will have to go to a SINGLE ELIMINATION CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET in all age divisions 9U through 14U.
For those looking for things to do, ROCKIT LANES, site of our Pin Trading and Coaches meetings is a great place to get out of the rain and have a team activity. Ripley's Believe it or Not and Wonder Works are sponsors of ours that offer indoor attractions. There is also a brand new indoor hitting facility that I was just made aware of this morning.....I own a brand new indoor hitting facility in Santa Rosa Beach Fl. We have 2500 square feet of flex space with 2 tunnels and a separate 4 T & soft-toss station.
Can you please pass on my contact information for any teams looking to avoid the rain and hit indoors.
Kind regards
Coach Tracy Wilmes

There is also a Florida Grind indoor hitting facility located off HW 390 in Panama City. For reservations, 850-248-2705.
Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding as we deal with Mother Nature this week! We feel very confident after our discussions with the National Weather Service that we will be able to play baseball again this week and remember, SUNDAY is our rain date that we have advertised from day one and we will DEFINITELY play on Sunday!
WEATHER UPDATE as of 5:41 PM (CT) TUESDAY, JUNE 20th, 2017
Tuesday, 5:41 PM (CT).....We are going to go ahead and cancel all games for Wednesday, June 21st. All of the information I am receiving from the National Weather Service tells me that there is no way we could play on Wednesday. We are going to preliminarily shoot for a 1:00 PM Start on Thursday, June 22nd at Frank Brown Park and a 8:00 AM Friday morning start at both Arnold HS and Bay HS. Both HS fields won't be ready for Thursday play due to the amount of rain that has and continues to fall. We hope to finalize pool play on Friday mid day and start up Championship Bracket play Friday afternoon. Whether or not we play a Single or Double Elimination championship bracket will depend on when we actually get to start back playing. The 8U & 14U brackets should be able to play a Double Elimination championship bracket due to the number of teams in their brackets. The 14U bracket could also see some games played at FB Park.
Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding.
WEATHER UPDATES FOR TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2017
8:08 AM (CT).....ALL GAMES & VENUES are CANCELLED for TUESDAY! No work can even begin on the fields until it completely stops raining and based on the current forecast by numerous weather models, the rain will continue throughout the day off and on. We feel it is in the best interest not to keep everyone in a wait and see mode all day when we pretty much know we will get intermittent rain all day long.
Looks like the next couple of days will be pretty wet. We will do all we can to get all pool play completed this week. Worse case scenario is that we complete pool play and then go into a SINGLE ELIMINATION championship bracket possibly with abbreviated time limits. Still too early to make that call as we will have to wait and see how much rain we get over the next couple of days. Please keep checking here for the latest updates.
Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding.
WEATHER UPDATES & IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
Monday, June 19th @ 6:51 AM (CT).........Due to the current weather forecast, the SKILLS COMPETITIONS scheduled for Tuesday has been CANCELLED! We will attempt to use ALL AVAILABLE fields to possibly move games up in the day in hopes of finishing all pool play games. Remember, awards are given based on seeding at the time the event is completely cancelled. Hopefully we won't get to that point but just need you to keep that in mind. Based on the current forecast, ALL TEAMS need to plan on playing on the rain date of SUNDAY. We will do everything we possibly can to at a minimum get all pool plays completed this week. We are looking a a number of different possibilities as we really don't know what the weather will do completely. Options include a Single Elimination championship bracket with full game times, single elimination championship bracket with shootout game times and others. Keep checking back HERE as this is where ALL weather related announcements will be posted first and foremost. IF you don't see anything here yet, it means we have not been told anything by the park staff at each venue. As soon as we do have information, we will post here right here!
